BUTTERFLIES (3-4 years old)
Ratio: 10 students to 1 teacher
Total classroom capacity is 20 children
In our Butterfly classroom, our preschool learners embark on a journey of growth and discovery. Our play-based curriculum provides a foundation for kindergarten success by fostering essential skills: critical thinking, creativity, and social-emotional intelligence. Children explore the world around them, becoming scientists, artists, and explorers, while developing a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We believe that true kindergarten readiness extends far beyond academics, and we nurture the whole child—their confidence, independence, and social-emotional well-being.
As with all our classrooms, we focus on getting the children outdoors daily and focus on the following to encourage growth among our students:
Safety and Security: Warm teachers, predictable routines, and respectful communication create a haven for learning.
Playful Exploration: Child-centered activities, hands-on learning, and open-ended materials spark curiosity and imagination.
Social Connection: Opportunities for cooperation, conflict resolution skills, and celebrating diversity foster positive relationships.
Supportive Guidance: Positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and a growth mindset empower children to thrive.
Engaging Environment: An organized space with learning centers and natural elements invites exploration and discovery.
*Please note: Children in this classroom must be fully potty-trained.
