Our classroom is a dynamic space designed to nurture the growing independence and curiosity of children aged 2.5 to 3.5. As they transition from toddlerhood to preschool, we provide a balance of structured learning and child-led exploration.

Here's what makes our classroom special:

  • Engaging Learning Centers: Children explore a variety of centers designed to stimulate their minds and bodies:

    • Building and Construction: Blocks, magnetic tiles, and other construction materials encourage problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and creativity.

    • Art and Sensory Exploration: A dedicated art area with easels, paints, and a variety of materials sparks creative expression and sensory exploration. Sensory bins filled with intriguing textures invite hands-on discovery.

    • Dramatic Play and Early Literacy: A pretend play area with props, costumes, and a cozy book corner encourages language development, social interaction, and storytelling.

  • Outdoor Explorations: The larger preschool playground area provides opportunities for more rigorous gross motor development, imaginative play, and nature exploration in an age-appropriate setting.

  • Circle Time Fun: Children gather for interactive circle time, filled with songs, stories, movement activities, and engaging discussions that build language skills and social connections.

Our teachers are dedicated to creating a supportive and stimulating environment through:

  • Intentional Teaching: Teachers go beyond supervision; they actively foster growth through observation, individualized attention, and thoughtful interactions. This includes:

    • Scaffolding Learning: Teachers provide support and guidance tailored to each child's needs, helping them stretch their skills and reach new milestones.

    • Promoting Language and Literacy: Conversations, storytelling, pre-reading activities, and exposure to a print-rich environment foster a love of language and early literacy skills.

    • Encouraging Social-Emotional Growth: Teachers create opportunities for cooperation, sharing, turn-taking, and emotional expression, helping children develop essential social-emotional skills.

  • Child-Initiated Play: We value child-led play and provide ample time for children to explore their interests, make choices, and engage in imaginative play.

  • Structured Learning: Teachers introduce age-appropriate activities that promote pre-academic skills, such as early math concepts, literature, letter recognition, and science exploration.

  • Predictable Routines: Consistent daily routines with visual aids provide a sense of security and help children navigate their day with confidence.

This classroom provides a bridge between toddlerhood and preschool, preparing children for the next step in their educational journey while nurturing their love of learning and discovery.

Please note: All children must be potty-trained before they can move up to the next classroom.

Our classrooms, and our teachers, are set up to support and encourage potty-training.
